And just like that justification reared it head

A dream is a wish your heart makes, but AIM is where you place your attention.  Fantasy land is a very easy place to get to, it’s seductive, it’s comfortable and for me it feeds justification.

My AIM is to live a healthy lifestyle, My AIM is to stop smoking, My AIM is to be a better parent… and then the wall of justification comes up— I think that is because we desperately want to “change our life” but we are afraid to actually realize what that will take.  It’s not fast and it’s not easy to and so we justify and live a lie of fantasy.

See AIM is not easy and it’s not fancy so therefore it is not popular. I find that most of the time it’s easier to live in the land of fantasy hoping and wishing for change. I’m a believer that if it’s not working we should find another opportunity to look again at what I’m wanting my AIM to be.  If my AIM is to live a healthy lifestyle, and my justification for not connecting to my AIM is that I have no money, I don’t know how, or I don’t have time— a re-evaluation of my Attention needs to happen.  If I’m constantly focused on my justification my AIM is to justify— and justification can become the onramp to the downward spiral that begins a road to frustration. And frustration cloaks my awareness of my Basic Goodness!
